We're in week 2 of our Mental Health Awareness Month. It's been wonderful to focus a little more on all the ways we can talk about our mental health and support and encourage one another.
As promised, this week we are focusing on SELF-CARE.
I think sometimes you and I shy away from anything that starts with "SELF." We may be afraid to take time for ourselves with lives that are so busy and our peeps needing us. But, if we can carve out chunks of time to rejuvenate and replenish, I think we'll find that we are more energized and capable of meeting all the responsibilities in our lives.
I have had to learn this the hard way. With all the therapy and major shifts on our home due to my four kiddos and husband being diagnosed with OCD, along with starting this business...I. AM. EXHAUSTED. But seriously, I really am depleted. I have had to find time to decompress and regroup. I have found great strength in being intentional and grasping just 5 minutes if I need it and practicing some kind of self care.
I have compiled a list of my favorite "fast" self-care ideas. Use these, and find your own. These can help, especially if you are intentional and compassionate with yourself and your time.
I'd love to hear your ideas too. What works for you? What else can I try as I seek further strength, compassion, and de-stressing in my life?
Thank you! Love you!
xoxo,
Betsy
